Nordic Angels, Elegant Bridal Creations
Founded by Marketa Häkkinen, a Monaco-based fashion designer and creator of the Nordic Angels bridal wear brand, Marketa, a former professional dancer of Czech origin, initially created Nordic Angels as a cocktail dress brand.
She quickly chose to focus on the bridal wear segment of the fashion industry after designing her own wedding gown. The “Nordic” in the brand name is a nod to her Finnish husband, and “Angels” is how she affectionately refers to her designs.
Now serving bridal clients online
To better serve her clients, Nordic Angels has launched an online store.
“Some future brides like to make an occasion of buying their dress and take their friends or mothers along with them; others prefer to find the perfect wedding gown from the comfort of their own homes,” says Marketa. “My online customers benefit from the same level of service I give the brides who visit my Nordic Angels Salon in Mandelieu-La-Napoule on the French Riviera.”
Gowns from the designer’s three collections – which combine romantic fairytale features and boho chic – are all available to order and can be shipped worldwide to countries served by DHL.
How to buy their gowns online
A size chart guides future brides before they purchase online. If necessary, customers can return their gowns to be altered to ensure they fit perfectly on their wedding day. As in the French Riviera Nordic Angels Salon, each online customer receives a custom-made dress within a maximum time frame of eight weeks. Nordic Angels bridal gowns are accessible, with average prices ranging between €1,000 and €2,500, and can be viewed on the brand’s website www.nordic-angels.mc
Once orders are processed, estimated delivery times are 24 hours in Europe, two business days in the USA and three to four business days for destinations in the rest of the world.
Nordic Angels Spring/Summer Collection 2019
The third Nordic Angels collection was launched in January 2019. It is composed of 15 gowns and takes an elegant step away from the 100% boho chic of the second collection. Although boho chic features are still present, the gowns place more emphasis on a romantic style. The fabrics – lace, tulle and organza – are light and more volume has crept into the designs. “This collection is me; it blends fairytale elements and romance,” says Marketa.
“While many brides seek three dresses – for the church wedding, the registry office and the evening – Nordic Angels gowns are designed to be worn for all three key moments. My brides like to be sexy but comfortable enough to move around,” says Marketa.
